About these terms

Grocelie operates a marketing site at grocelie.com and a separate signed-in app at app.grocelie.com, and these terms cover both.

You only need to read the section that matches how you use Grocelie. Use the jump-block below to skip straight to it.

Using the Grocelie app

This section applies if you use the Grocelie app at app.grocelie.com. By accessing or using the app, you agree to the terms in this section. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Grocelie provides

Grocelie is a free web application for personal grocery planning. It lets you track stock, create lists, and update quantities when you complete a shopping trip. The service is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.

Your account

You sign in with your email address using a one-time passcode. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account. You may update your email or display name from the Profile page at any time.

Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails necessary for account security (sign-in codes, email confirmations). You are also opted in to occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the link in any such email.

Your data

You own the grocery data you create. Stock items, lists, shops, and units. We store it solely to provide the service to you. You can delete your account and all associated data permanently from the Profile page at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Grocelie in accordance with applicable laws. You may not attempt to access other users' data, interfere with the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to use Grocelie. If we learn that a user is under 16, we will delete their account and data.

Service availability

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.

Limitation of liability

Grocelie is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, missed purchases, or damages arising from the use of the service.

Joining the waitlist

This section applies if you submitted the waitlist form on grocelie.com.

The waitlist is a list of people who want to be notified when Grocelie launches in their suburb. We will email you only about the launch in your suburb. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Joining the waitlist does not create a Grocelie app account. The “Your account” section above does not apply to you. If you later create an account at app.grocelie.com, those terms will apply from that point.

How we handle the data you submit through the waitlist is described in our Privacy Policy.

The marketing site (grocelie.com) uses analytics and advertising tools when you visit. These include PostHog session recording (mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling — all form inputs masked) and Meta Pixel, which fires advertising measurement events when you view pages and when you submit the waitlist form. When you submit the waitlist form, our server also sends a hashed version of your email address to Meta via its Conversions API to measure campaign performance. Sending us a deal

You can optionally email us a deal you spot at your local store at deals@grocelie.com. There is no in-form upload at v3 launch — submissions are by email only.

Submitted deal information may be added to our public deals feed at MVP launch with no personal attribution unless you explicitly ask to be credited. There is no payment or compensation for submitted deals.

Please do not send:

• Photos that include people's faces.
• Copyrighted catalogue PDFs or images you do not have the right to share.
• Anything that breaches a store's terms of entry.

We may ignore or remove submissions at our discretion.

Changes, contact, governing law

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of Grocelie after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
